Dr Samy was born and grew up on Merseyside in UK and then completed all his undergraduate and postgraduate clinical training in London. He is an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has completed a Masters in Law at Cardiff Law School. Dr Samy is a Consultant and Specialist in Oral Surgery as well as in Periodontology. He is also qualified with a university diploma in Dental Sedation therefore has a particular expertise in managing the anxious patient. Having brought dental sedation to the region, he is apparently the only dentist in Dubai who can sedate patients in dental practice.
Dr Samy owns two substantial healthcare organisations in UK, namely Oral Surgery Ltd and Dakatra and when in Dubai, serves the renowned Somerset Clinic in Dubai Healthcare City.
With over 25 years’ experience, Dr Samy is an expert in his fields, practicing the best of patient-centred British healthcare. He is able to provide treatments under local anaesthesia, moderate to deep sedation, and general anaesthesia.
As well as his vast clinical experience, Samy is a leader in the Oral Surgery specialty and beyond, contributing closely to its ongoing progress and development. He has been appointed Vice-Chair of the London Oral Surgery Managed Clinical Network and was elected by his peers to Council of the British Association of Oral Surgeons. He is also an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontology and Dental Implants examinations. Previously, he held the honourable position of President of the King’s College London Dental Society.
Beyond his professional duties, Samy is a passionate supporter of Liverpool Football Club and has been a season ticket holder at Anfield since early childhood.
Dr Samy is married to a dentist and has one young son.
